He is an MEP by the way, not an MP. 

He will probably remain an MEP as well - CCHQ made a huge error when Douglas Carswell got elected, they will never let someone with similar views, similar ability and a similar level of independence get in to Parliament.

I have met both Hannan and Carswell. They are both very impressive people and Hannan is a magnificient orator.
