Huh.  Interesting.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

It seems to me that system could still be done manually if it was set up right.  My only concern is how much stuff underneath would need to be moved or redone to accommodate that.

Interesting, but kind of an answer without the question.

Cost, complexity, side impact, exit after crash, structural integrity come to mind.

As bizarre as this is, it was forshadowed -- and you won't believe where.
In the mid 1960s British TV series Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson designed a puppet series based on the idea of high tech air vehicles rescuing people in grave danger.  This was called International Rescue and one of its female agents, London based Penelope had a pink Rolls Royce noted for having six wheels (two in back four on front) and the doors opened in the manner shown in this film.

I'd worry about the lack of a B-pillar. Side impacts are already devastating enough.

No thanks.

I'm pretty sure I saw this clip - or one very much like it - at least a couple of years ago.

I want to know how this is going to work in a foot of snow.
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

The advantage seems to be that the door, when open, is completely out of the way. Also, it doesn't smack into other vehicles.

Not saying it outweighs other considerations. Just sayin'.

Perhaps it would help to avoid "wardrobe malfunctions" for actresses when they are getting out of the car at awards ceremonies ?  ;)
