Cancer Breathalyzer
« on: June 17, 2012, 10:45:18 AM »
This is a very interesting technology. I've read scientific articles in the past investigating why sometimes dogs will act differently around people with a disease (often before the person knew they had something) because they could smell it.

These researchers seem to have developed this "breathalyzer" along those same lines. I don't know how accurate the technology may be now, but I'm willing to bet in 5-10 years this could be used to quickly and accurately test for all kinds of things, hopefully catching serious issues much earlier than they are discovered now, using more invasive tests.

And then the feral dot gov will be analyzing your breath whenever you are in a public place.  =(

But they will call it "non invasive"  ;/
