This is a very interesting technology. I've read scientific articles in the past investigating why sometimes dogs will act differently around people with a disease (often before the person knew they had something) because they could smell it.
These researchers seem to have developed this "breathalyzer" along those same lines. I don't know how accurate the technology may be now, but I'm willing to bet in 5-10 years this could be used to quickly and accurately test for all kinds of things, hopefully catching serious issues much earlier than they are discovered now, using more invasive tests.
