For a bunch of hippies whole foods makes some damn good bacon. Especially the black forest bacon I am eating now.

I'm going to attempt to make canadian bacon from two deer loins I have from last season.

No from Iowa, but Canadian bacon is made from pork loin, so I figured that would work for deer loin.

Actually, IIRC the owners of Whole Foods are libertarian rather than hippies. They've just figured out a way to make lots of money OFF hippies. Capitalism in action.  =D

Yeah, I seem to remember reading about at least a couple of occasions where Whole Foods took a "live and let live" stance on some issue the progressives were adamant about regulating or forbidding, and they got a sound verbal thrashing for it. They're definitely hippies, but they're the kind of hippies I'm happy to live with, since they don't force their views on me via the government.
