Huh. I cannot argue with forcing the promoters to read the entire contract. Many times over the years, I have read draft settlement agreements prepared by opposing counsel, found and removed various clauses about the settlement that we had not actually discussed and agreed to. I have learned that when someone says 'it is just standard boilerplate' to read it even more carefully for the 'gotchas'.
