I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

The Kingdom of McMachen  ???
Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one. The road goes upward toward the light; but the laden traveller may never reach the end of it.  - Ursula Le Guin

He says he plans to donate the properties he can't sell to needy organizations.

So maybe he plans to sell them off and donate the ones he can't move to "needy" organizations?  Might there be some tax implications there?

And just what will the "needy" organizations do with residential property that's more than likely restricted by zoning from many of the activities regularly engaged in by "needy" organizations?  I'd really love to be there to watch when someone tries to open a group/congregate home in one of those properties.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Since they are donated, I would assume they would sell them cheap to raise money.

Or, depending on the organization, fix them up to provide a house for a wounded vet or some other deserving poor. (Probably cheaper to fix a house than to build one like Habitat for Humanity does.)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Many of these houses lower the property value more than if it was an empty lot due to extreme disrepair.  It ain't pretty...  =(
