I had never heard of the Alabama Shakes before this - they only have 1 album released this year.
Very interesting band - kind of Southern Rock/Bluesy.
The lead singer is excellent, and plays guitar quite well! She has presence!

Warning!

It seems that the mastering on the digital CD release attempted to mirror vintage recordings.

The audio strength, presence, and dynamics of the Youtube video are not replicated in the CD release.

Damn disappointing.

I am looking at downloading the Youtube video, and converting to .mp3.
