Corn Maze!

this fall i plan to run one of these critters for a little extra cash.  I've got the field planted (8.3 acres), in a checkerboard patern, and the stuff is comming in THICK!  Its at about 12" now, and I'm getting to the point where i've got to cut the maze itself.

thats why i'm posting this.  I'm having trouble thinking up a patern and how to put it in.

anybody here have any experience with such a critter?

There have been a few around here in recent years, but I think most of the farmers contract their fields out to outsiders.  After they collect the cash, they harvest what's left of the corn.

I know the one up the road last year had a website.  You might try googling for information.

One farmer out here runs his own operation, and I've heard he makes a bunch of money with it.  Make sure you plant a pumpkin patch and sell pumpkins also.

I'm letting our neighbors handle the pumpkin end, thems a pain and too much damned work for what you actually make net.

I looked at contracting it out, but paying a grand per acre doesn't appeal to me.
