Take the Al Gore CO2 Quiz!

I was very disappointed when I took this. It only let me put one of my vehicles in. Even so, I managed to get 49,300 evil carbon input points (he claims the national average is 15,000). Must have been my 4X4. Cheesy

LOL  what a joke... that thing is riddled with so many inaccurate methods of measurement it's not funny.

I couldn't even get it to give me an "average" reading by setting all the parameters to AVERAGE.

I'm willing to bet the "average" person takes at least one trip a year on a plane. How about a bus ride? or a train ride?
Those weren't even included.
If they want to be accurate (which obviously isn't in their vocabulary) then why not list the various powered lawn equipment I might have.
Or the type of fuel I choose at the pump.
How about wether or not my car has had a tuneup or I check my tire pressure.

I mean Bilarly said all I need to do to solve the energy "crisis", is to check my tire pressure.

On a side note I'm sure we are all giddy with anticipation for the Discovery channel's special on the Convenient Lie the 16th of July.

45,700. If only I could have used what I really drive, I could have pushed it way up there. I had to use the 85 F250 FWD, when I actually drive a 1978 E250 4WD with a CO2 spewing 460 in front of a automatic tranny.

Much larger than average....just the way I prefer to live my life.

Huh, I was already up to 24,000 just putting my 4X4 in and 20,000 miles a year driven. By the time I added airline flights, I shot right up there.

I'm happy to report that I'm twice the national average.  I wonder how they got their baseline figure.

Huh, only 13,, even with the 94 GMC Yukon 4x4.

Wonder what would happen to that score if it included 125,000 - 140,000 miles per year in the 5.25mpg Peterbilt&

Is that what tractor-trailer rigs get?  I always kinda wondered.

Only 33,, but the test was flawed. It didn't ask about my smoke-belching woodstove, the 2 cycle gas chainsaw used to cut the trees that would have used up the carbon that the came from the burned tree to...................well...Cheesy

The typical 50 state rigs (5 axles, 18 wheels, gross weights to 80,000 lbs.) get between 5 and 7mpg depending on the engine, gearing, loads, and especially driver behavior.
