I lost the firing pin to my High Power this afternoon.

My friend Dave and I were shooting in their back field when it started giving ignition problems. Without really thinking about it, I popped the firing pin out to check on what the problem was (dirt & brass shavings).

When I tried to put it back in?

ZING!

Over an hour's worth of searching with a metal detector and nothing.

Oh well, I've been thinking about a titanium firing pin...

This is why whenever I am dis/re-assembling M1 and M14 bolts, I sit down on the floor and drape a bedsheet over myself. Wink
