63 ford falcon for sale
« on: January 05, 2013, 07:54:23 PM »
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Doesn't look too bad.  No rust on the doors or quarter panels.

A '63 Falcon was my first car.

A '61 was my second.   144 cubic inches of raw power!  A real chick magnet.

Worth $1500 $2K tops IF it has good tires.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Yeah, much like my reaction. $3500? There are a lot of other cars I'd buy before a 63 Ford Falcon for $3.5K
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Also...who rebuilds a Ford Falcon.

I'm reminded of a Home Improvement (you know, that show with Tim Allen in the 90s) where Al had lovingly rebuilt a station wagon...

A cousin of mine made a sleeper from a Falcon back in the 60's. That thing screamed. He made a few bucks on bets, too.

It was a rock bottom basic econocar in it's time.  Bench seats and two speed slushbox, most of them.  Not very interesting to drive, believe me.  One successor vehicle was the, ahem, Maverick.  Booooo-ring.

(The other successor vehicle was quite a bit more interesting.  A bud of mine actually had a '64&1/2, at the same time as I had my Falcons.  The relationship was obvious.)

A friend of mine had one of those in high school.  We used to rock back and forth in our seats trying to help him get up hills.

Tim The Tool Man also built a "station wagon" for his wife . . . Chevy Nomad.

I'll take that station wagon.
