Oregon Sheriff Won't Enforce New Gun Laws

The Linn County Sheriff sent a letter to Biden stating he will not enforce new gun laws. I'm really impressed with some of the Sheriffs you Oregonians vote for. I got my OR CCW from Sheriff Palmer in Grant County, and he feels the same way as this guy. In fact Palmer has been on radio talk shows in the past talking about constitutional rights. Guys like this sure make up for Portland. :P  :laugh:

Obama & Company are on record as saying a state (like Arizona) can't enforce Federal immigration laws, so I don't see why a state should be expected to enforce Federal gun laws.

That's one hell of an argument to be made in suits on both issues, where you would pin the DOJ into a corner and make them choose which way they want it to be...kind of curious whether they would push for the liberal cause of immigrant rights, or gun control.  Might even see a few heads explode from the dillemma of having to make the choice...

There is well established case law that says the Feds can't coerce or force local or state authorities to enforce a federal law.

I knew there was a reason I voted for the man.  Good job, Sheriff Mueller.

Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin and Crook County Sheriff Jim Hensley have sent similar letters to Obama.

In fact, the Obama administration has made it very clear to the states that they (the Obama minions) don't want the states actually enforcing laws. (Especially immigration laws but, what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.)
