The young-un's now-a-days have it too easy!
Back in the day, I pulled a 40 hour shift, drove 2 1/2 hours home, then went back to work 10 hours later for the next 14 hour shift. And the real bitch? Out of the 40 hours they counted 16 hours as regular time! This was in the middle of 3 months doing 14 hour shifts.
Damn old cast iron valve casing in the bilges of a carrier cracked, and every time they welded a crack a new crack appeared.
Of course the overtime money was gooood!
