One thing I didn't notice at first, is that the people having trouble getting their guns out from under their cover garments ARE WEARING GLOVES. HELLO?!

This is the stupid ABC hitpiece from several years ago.  Paint marker guns and college students.

It ignores:
-Hits do not equal kills.  I guaranfrackingtee you that barring a CNS hit or some sort of .30-06 round that empties my chest cavity via hydrostatic shock, I'm Em-Effing killing whomever stomps into my classroom with a pistol and intent for mayhem.
-That an armed responder stops wholesale slaughter and redirects it to combat rather than domination.  You can't spell slaughter without laughter, and you can't acknowledge CBS's attempted point here without a sneer of dark satirical contempt.
-Gloves.  Yeah, so?  Train.  See the second point, about something beats nothing.  When on earth am I likely to be covered in a helmet and gloves (says the motorcyclist with a full face helmet and gloves)?  Oh, yeah.  So I practice with THOSE OBJECTS.  Routinely.  Expecting 22 year old college students to be prepared for combat in that situation is ridiculous, unless they have practiced in the same gear that reduces vision and tactile feedback.

The assailant also knew exactly who the armed student was, where he was sitting, and therefore immediately targeted him, and him only after taking out the teacher. It was staged to fail.

Even though I have flagged this video as hate speech, and clicked on "dislike", they still put it up on the right-hand "Reccomended for you" almost every time I go on youtube
On two occasions, I have been asked [by members of Parliament], "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?" I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.

Well, yeah. They try to pass this off as some kind of approximation of CCW in a school shooting, but the gloves are just one obvious way in which the deck is completely stacked, well over and above the bad odds of simply being ten feet from a bad guy that has just walked in and started shooting. (And they weren't wearing gloves during "training.)

Then they tell us that running works better. Which is funny, because the student in question gets virtually shot to death, and you can't run when you've been shot to death. Even if you don't have a useless gun weighing you down.

Ditto. It's been showing up for the last few weeks, but the vid was uploaded years ago, why now all of a sudden?  ;/

Pretty sure somebody is "paying for placement" but since when does the VPC have that kind of money? Google employee, maybe? Or some "benefactor."

She also says that the training is "more training than almost half the states in the country require in order to carry a concealed weapon." Well, I guess that must be a lot of training, considering that some states require no training at all.  ;/

And note, none of the gun-toting students hurt anybody else. One of them even shot the attacker.

That "study" was rigged to have only one result....real life has disproven it thoroughly.....

This deliberately staged "demonstration" was designed, orchestrated, and edited to support a specific agenda. (Gloves, bad holster, restrictive cover garment, specific targeting of the subject and, just to be sure, a backup bad guy.)

That Diane Sawyer was an active, willing participant in this farce simply reinforces the fact that she is not an actual journalist, but an advocate for the left. (I remember her from a previous "news story" about deadly bullets in which she used a graphic of an expanded bullet about the size of a grapefruit spinning and churning its way through flesh as it zig-zagged its way through a human torso silhouette.)

and..

as for the second part: ALL "journalists" on corporate news networks have been whored down to ACTOR status, paid to read a script, push an agenda and make it sound important. As those of you that have been paying attention might know, many CNN (and other network) anchors routinely make cameo appearances in movies, reading out fake movie news... I know I have seen Wolf Blitzer, Bill O'reilly and Amanpour engage in this recently. Is there any difference between reading a movie script and the "real" daily broadcast?
