Magazine and ammo deals
« on: January 25, 2013, 07:32:37 PM »
The idea behind this thread is to post places online that have mags and ammo in stock of the popular/soon to be banned type. I, sadly, don't have any links because I haven't been able to find much myself.

I've ordered advertised in-stock mags from CDNN (Para-Ordnance) and EAA Corp. (EAA Witness). Neither appears to have jacked up prices.

I have XD .45 10 round mags, and Beretta 9000 9mm 12 round mags. Prices on both are what I've seen at Cabela's, Midway, etc, which is to say not gouging.

They are 'cheap' because they are 'available' even if an odd color.
The downside is the shipping cost is really high- one of my coworkers tried ordering one today and was quoted $17 for shipping.

I tried to place an order with them about a month ago and was quoted an obscenely high price for shipping - like $60+ for 10 glock mags. I contacted them and they said it was a problem but I don't think they corrected it.

They accepted my order for Glockazines.  A bit dear on shipping, but my net cost per unit, by today's standards, is quite reasonable.

I know somebody who is buying a Stag AR-15 through a place called Pacific Outfitters in Ukiah, CA.  $950 plus tax, DROS, etc.  The manager said he raised prices about $50 since the current craziness started but isn't going to raise them anymore.  I know this isn't ammo or mags but if you happen to live here you might want to think about going through them for an AR.

Holy crap! That's less than I paid for mine all told, just before the start of the current hysteria. Anyone needs an AR, I'd say they ought to jump on this. If they'll ship the thing, of course.

I don't know Charlie's prices on his ammo, but he has .223 and .308/7.62 in stock. He has all the major US brands, as well as South African, Portugese, etc.

He's the stereotypical New York businessman, so I'd expect his prices to be on the high side. On the South African .223 battle packs of 140 rounds, his in-store price is $99.95. He has ammo on GunBroker,  but that's for auction, so the price could be anything.

You can find his info here: http://www.gunshopfinder.com/bytownresults.asp?ID=4155

I don't know anything about these guys except that this was posted last night on a local forum I frequent:

GI mags in stock for $25.  Shipping on 1 mag was $9.95, shipping for 5 calculates at $10.75.

If anyone knows where to find FMJ .45 Auto, you will be my new hero.

I'm also looking for unicorn jerky.

Not jerky, but you can buy unicorn meat.

My local Cabela's had twenty-odd boxes of .45 Auto (MC, Remington green & white box). Bought 3 boxes for $82.something. I decided to look for unicorns after that, but didn't see any.

And here I was getting ready to trade 5.56 or 7.62 for some .45.  =)

Bass Pro near me has had .45 when I've been in.

My walmart however is even more bare as of yesterday vs. Monday.

If you feel like swinging by SC .45 is one of the few things my LGS actually still has in stock.
