Sweet.  Love the name.

Over the past few months, we've brought you sporadic updates on Cody Wilson, a UT Austin law student who heads up a group called Defense Distributed. They want to make a printable gun, an ambition that's brought much hand-wringing and even got their rented 3-D printer repo-ed back in October.

Now Defense Distributed has released what they're calling a totally redesigned AR magazine. It holds 30 rounds. They're calling it "the Cuomo." That's some expert, expert trolling, guys.

AGI institute has a good video on making coil and various leaf springs like extractors.

Is that for when they ban replacement springs?

They are a gunsmithing school that also makes and sells good videos on gunsmithing.

I think NY may have already banned replacement springs.

If you're 3d printing a lot of mags, it'll be cheaper to get a spool of steel wire and form your own springs.

Thanks for the tip!

The difference between an armorer and a gunsmith: An armorer can replace a broken part with a new one off the shelf. The gunsmith can fabricate that new part.

I am in a standard cap magazine hearing at the MN legislature. Do you guys think I should mention 3d printers making this debate pointless?

I am trying to think up the best wording.

Politicians are easy to confuse so you might leave out the printer angle and try to work off the hundreds of millions already in common use by law abiding citizens angle.

Already mentioned and they don't want us to repeat anything. Sadly I won't get a chance as this will end at 10:00pm. Many of us won't get to speak and the line is huge.

Edit: I will let mngocra present this argument.
