It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

I seem to remember that detail coming out when the coroner's report was published a while back. The injuries to his knuckles were the only ones he sustained other than the gunshot wound.

Irony, thy name is editorial journalistic commentary:

"Their response may not be atypical of family members defending a loved one, but it is certainly a surreptitious strategy to muddy the facts, contaminate the jury pool and reverse-engineer claims of racism."

You mean George Zimmerman was pounding on poor little Trayvon's knuckles with his nose and face?

Gorram racist b@st@rd, hope he hangs.

I think that it is amazing how this situation domjnated the headline for so lomg, ane then fell to the last page, below the fold.  Should prove interesing whem the trial starts to see if the uproar begins again.

Note to self...add a hoodie to my tactical gear..  May prove to be effective protection against liberal do-gooders.

I think now the biggest thing about the Martin/Zimmerman case is that the black community, or perhaps more appropriately those who claim to speak for it, are out for meta-justice in certain instances as some way of "righting wrongs" whether the facts fit the individual case or not.

OJ, more than likely factually guilty, found legally innocent. Cheering in the streets.

Zimmerman, more and more likely factually innocent, but if found legally guilty... ????

Perhaps our one resident poster who seems to have a huge emotional investment in Zimmerman's guilt (he'll deny it of course) can pop in and enlighten us further.
I promise not to duck.

Perhaps the reason it disappeared from the front page was that every single piece of evidence that came out steadily exonerated Zimmerman?

We'll see all those members of Congress who waxed eloquently stupid about this case get up and apologize right? Maybe even wearing clothing befitting the office this time?

I posted at the link in the OP just for fun . . . among other things, I mentioned that Zimmerman wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. (For the record, I never mentioned voting or politics.)

First reply I got:

I'm sorry racist, but Obama won and the black man is president, so nothing your saying makes since! Nobody said zimmans had a knife, he shot Trevaughn because he is a white man voting for Romney, who LOST!

I think some fun can be had by posting there . . . just imagine the regular contributor's heads exploding as they begin frothing at the mouth as they pound their keyboards!  =D   >:D
