I imagine most folks here have already heard this. For those who haven't, enjoy
Three days ago Mayor Bloomberg called for legislation to require stores to conceal tobacco products. Tobacco products such as cigarettes would have to be kept in cabinets, drawers, under the counter, behind a curtain or in any other concealed location.
Has this mother-jumper considered what the effect would be on businesses, especially convenience stores? They'd have the expense of having to stock cigarettes, but have a much harder time selling them. Most would probably stop selling cigarettes, which of course is Bloomberg's goal.
Except for the part about gassing Kurds and torture, I suspect that Saddam Hussein was a more benevolent dictator. Of course, we don't know if Bloomberg tortures smokers, soda drinkers or cigarette retailers.
