So called Mountain Man caught in Utah

Knapp, suspected in dozens of cabin burglaries, triggered a police chase by bragging last week to a group of antler collectors.
More of a burgler and criminal living in other folks cabins than a real Mountain Man.

Should go away for a long time.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

I saw that on the news too, we had a thread about him last yr or maybe even 2 years ago.
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

Yeah, a real Mountain Man would have left the places better than he found them, cut a bunch of wood for the owners, etc  ;)

It's real easy to be a "rugged mountain man" when you're breaking into people's places and using their heating sources, food, etc and trashing the place and leaving.

OTOH, there wouldn't be a tweeker left in Georgia...

That's how it happened in the Louis L'Amour books I've read  =D

It's okay to spend the night in somebody's dugout when they're not home, unless a couple outlaws are hanging out there.

Bartholomew, the cabin owner, was not at the residence at the time and saw television coverage of Knapp’s arrest. He went to the sheriff’s office to double check that was his cabin where Knapp was captured and his green jacket Knapp was wearing.

While there, investigators told him both the jacket and Knapp stunk. Batholomew decided to let Knapp keep the jacket.

Sean Penn should play this guy in the movie, because Sean really smells bad too.
