They mock my suggestions of turning it down a couple degrees. Of course they are of the senior persuasion.
So you're saying we have to be seniors to mock you? Dang, I've been wrong all this time...

As of this evening I'll have a new 4 ton 13 SEER unit installed and running. Been without a/c on that side of the house since the middle of May. I'm stepping up from 3 tons there, and that's covering larger rooms and more square footage than the other side. I've got 3 tons on the other side of the house, which is where I've been basically living since then.

Can't wait to see how nice it feels. Been 100 or better for the last 21 days. 102 tomorrow.

Going to be interesting to see what the electric bill will be.

Not bad at all, I'll bet your choice to keep the temp up at 73* has a lot to do with it too. You would be on my favorite customer list.  I've had customers who'd set theirs on 80* and be just fine with it. They mock my suggestions of turning it down a couple degrees. Of course they are of the senior persuasion.
Actually 73 is a little cold.  But you know, I paid big bucks I want to be COLD

My mom is like that, you go over there and it's like 92 degrees inside, it's like WHY DO YOU HAVE AIR CONDITIONING?
bleech.
My grandma's the complete opposite.
I found the thermostat on 64 the other day...and I just thought I was imagining that it ran non stop.
So the whole house stays freezing cold...it feels like winter time in here...very hard getting up in the morning because it's so cold...hard taking showers cause it's so cold.
What ticks me off the most is that she sits in her chair wrapped up in a blanket...

Sunday it felt a little better, but it was quite irritated from me rubbing it.
