It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

bear in mind the state boe has been on verge of taking over from elected county board for years. they would probably have except bmore schools are worse

Meh, small potatoes.
The school district which I'm in, which my kids will never use, and I support with my tax dollars taken from me at gunpoint recently built 2 new high schools- identical to eachother seperated by about 100 yards due to a road being between them. Both schools have seperate physical plants, and full compliments of staffing ranging from union janitors to lgbt counselors. Its ok because they only screwed us for $120 million and only raised my property taxes by $600/year. My village soundly voted the referendum down, but the city this school district is based in has the vast majority of the population in the district, with a 1/2 dozen smaller (and wealthier) villages as part of it.
There will be more referendi coming too- the grade school in my village is 120 years old, is failing inspections (yes the district has purposely limited funds to this school's maintenance) and will probably need replacement soon.
It was on the original referendum, but got split out into another in a 'divide and conquer' strategy used by the school board.

In my state, I don't even think its legal anymore to build a school without a stadium, several professionally manicured athletic fields and an olypic sized swimming pool. [barf]

IIRC johnny and Jane can't read because the teachers are too busy learning how to boost self esteem without letting the kids know theirs was low to begin with, and filling out time & motion reports about the teaching they never got around to actually doing.  Oh, let us not forget time off for professional development, sharing "experiences" with other teachers, listening to adminstrators, monitoring the lunch room, and trying to figure out which snot-nosed darling took a dump in the corner.

The last time the ex got fired from teaching there were fifteen (15!) administrators supervising, monitoring, mentoring, observing, assessing, advising, training and otherwise sticking their noses in for every actual teacher in the system.  Hire more folks to be a liaison between the school and the parents?  Half the parents probably don't know who their kid's teacher is, let alone what grade the kid is in.  And they don't want to know.  Send the kid to mandatory day care for 12 years and he better be qualified for a full academic scholarship at an Ivy League school, but don't bother me in the meantime.

I found this part interesting as well:

If you can't spend all the money in Pot1, reallocate the funds to Pot2 so next year you'll get the same total amount in your budget.

They got lucky because a new Pot was created from outside forces for them to funnel Pot1 $ into,.

So next year since the Pot1 money was allocated into the emergency Pot2, they can have the same amount for Pot1 again --which results in a net increase in next year's budget.

See, that's how it works.  Complicated, ain't it?
