someone looking for a motorcycle?
« on: June 11, 2013, 09:04:06 PM »
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

My snark about the faring aside, $800 for a running bike ain't bad.  Were it in my neck o' the woods, I'd buy it (and remove the Mario brothers style caricatured oversized faring).

Many of them had a pretty decent stereo in those fairings.

I wish Vetter was still in the bidness.  I wish anybody was still in the bidness.  If I could equip a CB1100F with a new Windjammer, I'd do it this week.

whats the weirdest heaviest thing you hauled on a motorcycle?

mine was a keg about 3/4 full  on an xs 750   i did drop it but it was the thought that counted.  there is a lot of foam comes out at 60 mph as it tumbles and bounces
thats what made my Pagan neighbor think i was ok even if i did ride rice

A SB Chevy alternator, starter and intake manifold, in a cardboard box, in the rain, for about 20 miles.  Don't know how or why the box held together, but everything made it to the destination in fine shape.

i used to bungee my bass guitar to the side of my bike all the time, and occasionally tied the amp on the seat.
