I often record the show so I can go back later and skip past the drama and the multitudinous commercials - after all, it's a half-hour shooting show, shoehorned into an hour time slot.
For the most part, the contests don't look very challenging. In my opinion, the
hardest part of the competitions is shooting well with a firearm that
someone else sighted in. There have been some allegations on various boards that in a couple of the "head-to-head" competitions and shootoffs, one competitor's gun had the sights deliberately moved off target. Maybe sour grapes, maybe not . . . but it makes you wonder when a highly experienced competitor suddenly can't hit
anything.
