Top Shot

Anyone watching Top Shot this season?

I've always liked it for the challenges, but the previous seasons did teams and "voting" stuff like the reality shows do, which took away from the competition in favor of personality conflicts. This season they are doing "Top Shot All Stars" which are finalists from previous seasons. Completely eliminated teams and all that other crap and it's strictly individual competition and skill. It's making it a whole lot more fun to watch.

I've seen a few episodes and thought it was pretty neat. Currently don't have a TV though. =(

Well crap.  My DVR is set to record Top Shot, but apparently the addition of all stars to the title caused it not to record.  I'll have to catch a marathon or something.

I often record the show so I can go back later and skip past the drama and the multitudinous commercials - after all, it's a half-hour shooting show, shoehorned into an hour time slot.  ;)

For the most part, the contests don't look very challenging. In my opinion, the hardest part of the competitions is shooting well with a firearm that someone else sighted in. There have been some allegations on various boards that in a couple of the "head-to-head" competitions and shootoffs, one competitor's gun had the sights deliberately moved off target. Maybe sour grapes, maybe not . . . but it makes you wonder when a highly experienced competitor suddenly can't hit anything.

That's what happened to me. I caught up via Hulu.
