Interesting internet effect

So I was trying to go to one of the site I enjoy online:
http://www.dansdata.com
and I mistyped it as:
httpa/;//www.dansdata.com
When I put that in firefox, instead of erroring out, it redirects to:
http://winsock2.org/samples/Ch10/httpa.c
Why does that happen? Is this some goofy DNS thing I don't know about? The code that it links to doesn't appear to be anything special... Ideas?

It's a firefox auto search thing. If you type in something that isn't a real URL, it will try to find what it thinks you're looking for. Type in "penis enlargement" if you're after a laugh.
