I could see some uses like the toilet bowl brush.

I had some boot waterproofing once that was so good that you could dry up a puddle just by stepping into it  =)

I had to quit using it because of the drouth

I'm going to have to find a use for that stuff!
Personally, I do not understand how a bunch of people demanding a bigger govt can call themselves anarchist.
I meet lots of folks like this, claim to be anarchist but really they're just liberals with pierced genitals. - gunsmith

It's made down the street from me. I'm familiar with the company.

If you run into their CEO, tell him that if they can solve the durability problem - to include the fact that oil from human fingers totally kills the stuff, to say nothing of soaps and the like - he will really have something.

What do hydrophobic nanoparticles do when they get into living things?  I know of a guy who owned a business doing some bleeding edge nanoparticle coating of jet engine internal parts. Maybe unrelated, but he did die of brain cancer.

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

Work in progress.   =D

Honestly, most true "nanoparticle" stuff I stay away from. It's still a while from established, boring, "done a billion times" engineering.

Nanoparticles?!?!?!  Is that what they call "molecules" these days?
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
