Pick the 2016 Dem ticket.
« on: June 25, 2013, 12:19:47 AM »
Is it too early to start the lulz? Take your guess!

Some possibilities I see:

Biden-Most 2 term VPs make a go of it, or in this case a fail of it.
H. Clinton-she's damaged goods, but owed a lot by the machine.
B. Clinton-Is it legal? Define is. He could actually win.
Susan Rice- Very possible, they need another minority to avoid looking like they are going back to plantation leadership, a woman too! More importantly, part of the organization that installed Obama and has such awesome leadership cred. (Well, at least more awesome than his.)
Michelle Obama-I am waiting for the first leftist pundit to float that balloon, it will happen.
Barack Obama-Living document and all pesky amendments be damned.

Finally, some faceless blue dog like Manchin who runs as the anti-Obama centrist, maybe the smart money. Of course Bill Clinton could run that gig too.

Bill Clinton CANNOT run for a third term.

At this point thinking about 2016 is too depressing.

MO has it all over HRC regarding age and muscle and could beat HRC to death, but HC would slip a knife between her ribs and it would be all over for MO.

Nah, Hillary would never dirty her own hands. She'd get someone to do it for her and then throw them under the bus later.

Somehow, I don't think Hilary will make it. I think the Dems will use her to pit against someone to make them "likable" (i have to put that in quotes, because i've seen no likable Dems lately) again.
Hilary is too cold, methodical and "mannish" for the Dems to back as the first FEMALE President.

As for this sick little game, I vote for an "unknown" or Rice. I don't think Biden will get far, due to his age. He's 70. Michelle might try, but she tends to get to big for her britches, mouth off and pee people off, and she's always been her husbands libility in that way.

Pick the 2016 Dem ticket.

I can't predict, I've already figured that out.  I keep thinking "who in their right mind would run X", and they do.

BH0 for president, of course.  Just not even bring up that pesky two terms thing.  But he'll get an Emperor Palpitine makeover.

I dunno, maybe they'll pull Ill ex-gov Rod Blagojevich out of "retirement" for the number two position.

BH0 for president, of course.

I'm wondering when a serious effort to repeal the 22nd Amendment will begin.  A NY congressman has made a half-hearted attempt every year since O's been in office, but they don't really count in my view due to their boiler plate nature and lack of support.  I do not believe he is all that well respected.

Who?  0 or the NY congressman?

My worry is that the two term limitation would be just ignored.
