Let me just add, I'd like to try to answer your last question Norton but at this point I'm feeling underqualified. The use of the word lessens works for me. The real deal is resistance. If your body has a high resistance then most of the voltage will go through the ground circuit but if, for some reason (you're wet, barefoot, standing in a puddle,) your resistance to current flow is lessened and then much more of the current could pass through your body and cause injury even though there is a working ground circuit. The current will split accordingly in relation to the resistance of each path. I'd like to thank those that passed this along, valuable info.
