I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

That the Crown Court did not prosecute Mr. Corti for assault is, by itself, reason to celebrate.  Sounds as if the Home Secretary's pronouncement that subjectshave a right to defend themselves against violent attacks is being listened to.  This is not, by itself, sufficient to take the "(f)" from in fronr of "GB" but it surely is a step in the right direction.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Quite true - I would have expected otherwise.

Question: Under English law, can the battered burglar now file a civil suit against his intended victim?    ???

Good job Mr. Corti.  Hopefully some idiot amongst the-powers-that-be across the pond will not figure out they neglected to prosecute Mr. Corti for engaging in self defense.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.
