Honestly, I'd kind of like a "RED" series of movies with nothing but John Malkovitch in them, and where he overcomes and wins, not by being miraculously speedy and strong for his age, but just prevails through his character's paranoia and general bat-*expletive deleted*it insanity.
I promise not to duck.

So do we need an Ocean's 13 type ensemble movie with nothing but BSC geezers in it? Walken, Pacino, Nicholson, Eastwood, Mirren, Dench, Malkovitch...Who else?
AKA Navy Joe

I'm so contrarian that I didn't respond to the thread.

I would totally go for that.
or maybe do shorts featuring him, like Madagasgar did with the penguins.

I liked RED (saw it on TV recently) but I didn't love it; I dunno if I'll watch RED 2 or not.  John Malkovitch was by far the most compelling character.

Payback with Mel Gibson is another one from a few years back.

Now you're talkin'.

(I assume we're both talking about the theatrical release, with Kris Kristofferson, and not the Director's Cut, which is much different.)

Like the "business woman" at the airport in the first movie, who looks to be an innocent victim of his paranoia, but turns out to be the "RPG Lady" just a few minutes later.  =D

You spend the whole movie, well... maybe half of it thinking he's totally lost it, he is wasting people left and right, and it turns out he was right and all of them are spies or assassins or whatnot.

I liked RED...haven't seen RED 2, but I think I'll like it as well....

....and, since we've already complained about how unrealistic the heroes are, can we get back to talking about their gun-handling skills and how we can apply them to real-life situations?....

What, you mean like using a big bore revolver to counter an RPG?   =D

Of course.  The director's cut wasn't so good.  Can't have sunlight in a gangster movie.  The final shoot out of that version wasn't so bad, but I was pissed to find I can't get the theatrical release on DVD.

Seriously, I watch movies for entertainment and escape.  I don't need dark or bad endings.

Saw Red 2 last night.

Monkeyleg was awesome. But his chiquita banana girl getup at the end was a bit much.

Also saw it yesterday. It was hilarious.
