  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Nice bit of PR.

500 acres isn't a "ranch" in that part of the country, it's a (small) building lot. Most of those photos take in a LOT more than 500 acres, and give the impression that buying the houses gets you all the eye can see from them. Not so.

If you really want to get to drooling, look at some of the other places that Realtor has listed:

Yeah, yeah...

I'm pretty sure this place roundhouse kicks that one into the next century...

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

I noticed that at least one in Colorado had its price reduced.  It would be nice to see all of Colorado on clearance after their recent law changes but, in reality, it's completely unrelated since the folks that pay these kinds of prices for these properties are generally California and Hollywood celebrities or Silicone Valley billionaires.

Does it come with his motorcycle from "The Great Escape" or car from "Le Mans"?

Yeah, 500 acres is less than a section (sq mi / 640 acres for you easterners).

Right where I live, working ranches start around 6 or 7 sections and go up from there.  That's the minumum amount to graze enough cow-calf pairs to sorta support a family.  The only way to get by at that is because the house is part of the ranch expense.

I fear the day that our neighbors sell out.  He is about my age, they have no kids and it will probably get subdivided.  =(
