Is Piers Morgan pro-gun?
« on: August 21, 2013, 07:04:31 PM »
It has occurred to me to wonder why Piers Morgan continues to "debate" pro-gun people against whom he constantly comes out second best.

Is he a masochist? Does he not realize how poorly he is making the anti-gun case? Or, just possibly, is he bravely sacrificing himself, playing devil's advocate, and intentionally making the antigun  case look bad?

I guess it could be possible but I really don't think he is that bright.

He's a statist ahole that really doesn't care that he's looking like a dumbass, in his mind he's a righteous crusader.

He's the guy that was involved or maybe even the mastermind behind giving out bugged cell phones to celebrities. So no ethics from him  and that would preclude supporting others' right to the means of self-defense.

While I'll assume he's nominally anti-gun from an elitist British background, he knows that his anti-RKBA posture is a loser, but thinks he can boost his ratings with the "there's no such thing as bad publicity"-scheme, and that the people who hate him will tune in.

They aren't.  =D

must be my email did some good.   ;) i used to watch piers on occasion. even when i didn't agree with his viewpoints he would usually allow the other side of the argument to be presented.  right after newtown he was too obnoxious to watch, and kept shutting down any pro 2a views.   i wrote cnn a note and haven't watched him since.

He doesn't have to be. His agent or manager mostly likely is. His name is all over the internet and you can't BUY publicity like that, even if it's bad from our perspective.

He's an elitist, anti-gun British snot.  The only reason he continues to harp on the 2A is because those shows he did immediately after Newtown generated the highest ratings he's ever had.

He and CNN think if they keep doing it they can hit those numbers again.  Fortunately, his ratings are back to what they were before Newtown (practically non-existent), however they keep beating that horse, because they can't think of anything else to raise his ratings, because no one wants to hear the drivel of an elitist, anti-gun British snot.  That and no one watches CNN anymore, and he'll be off within a year maybe two, as they go in search of someone, anyone to bring them ratings.

He's an foreigner in the US trying to overturn our Constitution.  Seems like there should be a law against that.

He's a well-paid stooge employed to CNN to keep an agenda point alive.  He puts on an outrageous show of the selected agenda point in the media which is then used by other members of the media to play off.  Sorta like creating your own news.  Other members of the well-paid guild include Joe Scarboro and Chris Matthews.  Keith Olbermann was a member but went too far.

At least he isn't President yet.

It just irritates the heck out of me for foreigners to come here and complain about the United States or for them to try to make the United States into their home country.  If their home country is so good, go back there.  Don't come here to do your nation building; we have a nation.

What do you mean he's not president yet?....... Oh wait.  I got confused about another foreigner.  We're talking about Piers Morgan.

That reminds me, not to thread-jack because I do love talking about how rotten Piers Morgan and CNN are, but do we have a thread on the Cruz birther question?
