Been watching the BBC series on Netflix. It's quite good, but the more I see the more disturbing it is. Uther is carrying out a vicious genocide against anyone born magical. The show's protagonists try desperately to preserve his rule. It's a bunch of Jews passing as Aryan and trying to uphold the Third Reich. Or kulaks upholding Stalin etc. I wonder if the writers grok that at all?

I never understood why Merlin was so supportive of someone who wanted him & his kind dead . . . and whose boss (Arthur) treated him so shabbily.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Tonight's viewing: magical people desperately try to save Uther. Also, Uther has flashbacks about all of the children he drowned because they were born magical.
