Good point. Can't do the job without your Security Identification Display Area badge. Are they now required (been a long time since I had a SIDA badge) in areas other than the ramp, baggage areas and beyond security checkpoints?

Could he be reassigned to non-SIDA areas?

Only required for secure areas. But, that will be reason enough to fire him.

Pilots and FAs don't get SIDA badges normally.
