Christie stabs a GOP State Senator in back, misses thrust

He tries to get the State Senate to oust Tom Kean as Senate Minority Leader.

Looking at his legislation he has sponsored, I figure it's over this:

Limiting campaign contributions, cleaning up the awarding of contracts to campaign contributors, etc.


Kean's other bills predominantly deal with criminals preying on children and stiffening sentences for them, or lowering taxes.  There's one other bill establishing a NJ GAO, which I guess could irk folks who suck off government contract graft.

Go figure... Christie doesn't like someone trying to clean up graft. ;/

How many will be telling us "We just have to vote for him or teh Democrats will win!!!eleventy!!!

In my opinion, having a DIABLO Democrat In All But Label Only is just as bad or worse than electing a liberal Demo. At least with a lib, you don't get it in the back.

Apparently there's there's enough conflict of interest and potential impropriety with his time in NJ government that more than a few people don't seriously expect him to survive the Presidential vetting process.

It was already enough that Romney chose Ryan over him for the VP slot.

You forget that the standards for Republicans are different.

The only scenario where I see them going easy on Christie is if the MSM finds Hillary or whoever the 2016 Democratic front-runner is to be so damaged that getting a moderate/RINO like him in office is the consolation prize.

More likely the MSM will do its best to let him sail through the GOP nomination process, maybe even do their best to sucker the GOP into thinking "Hey... they finally LIKE US!" THEN the MSM will get interested in digging into his past once he's chosen and it's too late.
