Quote
People were stunned after a form for potential jurors listed 'slave' as a possible occupation....John Evans, the president of the Dekalb County NAACP simply calls it offensive.

Can't quite figure out how that is supposed to offend anyone.  ???

It's kind of like the word lynching, there's no emotional baggage whatsoever.

Another intern fooling around?

Like the one who got fired for the "Captain Sum Ting Wong" airline crash debacle.

They'll blame it on Bush.  Or maybe fistful.

WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

That might be a matter of interpretation. Free room and board (or paddle).

Slave is an Ad honorem profession.

Along these lines, how come a voluntary "slave contract" is illegal unless one of the parties is the US military  ???

OK, so "slave" has baggage. That doesn't explain why it offends anyone for it to appear as it did. It doesn't explain why the NAACP would care about it.

Mainly because they see an opportunity to scream about something and, more importantly, hopefully profit from it. It's all they do...

errr... I'm pretty sure, in the grand scheme of whores, there are those who are paid to be submissives.

Wasn't there a movie about that, starring Dana Delaney ?
