Last sailboat outing of the year.

Loaded up Serenity and borught her home today.
Uneventful operation with no drama. The "new" Dodge pulled her home with (as expected) no problems.
A quick stop at the car wash got the 6 months of lake slime off. Now a little work to do, some upgrades and modifications and with a little luck re-launch the 1st week of march depending on the weather.

Should have a few more "action" pics inbound. Took her out yesterday and had an exiliarting sail, small jib and a reef in the main 6.5 knots with the rail in the water part of the time. Out sailed the bigger boat that is in the picture on the left. I got a little bit of a jump on him at the turn around and in the 4 miles or so back to the marina he couldn't catch me.

On the way out I had left the keel up and had some issues and he ran me down and left me in his wake. We were running from a close haul to a close reach most of the time. On the return run we were on pretty much the reciprical course. I looked down and noticed that the keel was still tied up once I let it down I did much better. He was running with his 150% genoa and was having a hard time keeping things trimmed in with the wind we had. His boat is technically faster but my boat is easier to single hand than his, mostly I just out sailed him.
