I received my XDs back on Wednesday of this week.
It was returned to me with an additional 7rd extended magazine, as a token apology for the recall event and the extended duration of the recall.
I immediately verified clear status and racked the slide and dryfired several times. Trigger is considerably worse than it was before. Not quite a DA revolver pull, but inching towards 7.5 or 8 pounds versus the ~6 pound pull it had before. I'll be dryfiring the snot out of it over the next several months to break it in and see if it improves.
I took it out today while I was out on a dirtbike ride, and I pulled aside in a convenient desert corner to test it. I ran about 25 rounds through it of 230gr LRN reloads. No faults, from any of the magazines.
Accuracy was acceptable, even with the added trigger weight. I didn't bring any targets with me, so I shot at stumps of creosote bushes and empty cartridge boxes at the ersatz shooting range I had chosen. The pistol is much more accurate for me than my KelTec PF9, and far more comfortable to shoot.
Despite the degraded trigger, it's still my superior deep concealment pistol and trumps other choices consisting of a Smith 642, Ruger SP101, KelTec PF9 or FEG PA-63. My XD9sc has a superior trigger, but that's a considerably larger pistol.
