He should get $100 mil- but only after someone puts a size fifteen up his rectum- literally, not figurtively.

Much as I would like to see someone sock it to Nike, I don't think he has any legal standing.

Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,

I don't know what his criminal history is, but I'm trying to decide which is more ridiculous, the lawsuit, or a life sentence for his crime.

Extensive. Give me a few moments and I'll find the post on a Swedish forum quoting a psychologist who had interviewed the guy, to give an insight into this person.

Quoted from here.

Quote
Frank Colistro, a psychologist who interviewed Clardy, said Clardy was in the 100th percentile of narcissistic criminals and he’s 100 percent likely to commit violent crimes again in the next seven years. Colistro said Clardy thinks of himself as smarter, more attractive and superior than everyone else.

”I've evaluated serial murders, serial rapists, and I'm going to tell you very few of those people reach the elevations (scores) we're going to talk about here,” said Colistro,

Clardy has been convicted of 20 felonies in his 26 years

In other words, he probably shouldn't have been walking free anyway.

All I could think of reading this was:  it isn't that you beat a guy with your shoes so much that your feet were in the shoes when you did it.

Last time I bought steel toe boots for work, I don't remember seeing a warning label for them despite a bit more potential to cause harm.

So, he's been convicted of 2-3 felonies per year in his adult years, and is still pimping on the streets.
I'm thinking he has a better idea of just how FUBAR'd the system is and thought, WTF I can probably sue NIKE and win.

Gotta love pro se prison clients with access to a legal library and lots of time on their hands. I remember a prison case from my state where the guy had changed his name to "Messiah" and sued Michigan, the US, the UK, Israel, and the MI dept. of corrections, saying that since he was the messiah (and god), that the entities sued would have to recognize him as such and that earthly laws did not apply to him and that he should be released.

It was funny, but at the same time, sad. The court had to waste it's time dealing with this case.

Probably more likely a raft of felonies at one time.  Then another raftful, several years later.  Damned time in prison screws up the per-year totals and forces a guy to hustle when they get out to make up for lost time.
