solar panel replacement.

i need to replace a solar panel for charging a small battery bank.  i'm pricing them out, and i can't believe how much the price has dropped.  some are down to $0.75/watt!  i think the last time i looked the cheap ones were still $2.50/watt.

I am curious as to the durabilty/efficiency of the different companies.  does anyone have first hand knowledge of panels they recommend/reject, or know of a site with independant ratings?

I have been looking a little bit lately, I was thinking about a small setup. Panel or 2, battery and a small inverter/charger.
Mostly for fun but to power my computers and crap in the office. Then it will act as a ups also.

Yes prices have dropped which had made these panels more effective.. I am looking to get new panels for my home..

I found a renogy monocrystaline 100w panel with a decent frame.  seems to be well built and has a 25 year warranty.  also came with an inexpensive charge controller.

How many batteries are you charging?

You really have some crappy solar panels if it has taken a year to charge those two measly batteries.

All I've seen is what's on Yelp.  Also sounds like they're more of a bundler, contracting out the actual installs.  Judging from the reviews there, we can beat their price fairly easily.  If you see anything that suggests otherwise, let me know.
