Lubbock Sheriff tells DEA to stick it where the sun don't shine
« on: February 21, 2014, 09:33:12 AM »
Long story short... Multi-agency investigation leads to big drug ring bust and DEA races to publicize it without consideration for or cooperation with local law enforcement, putting LEO lives in danger and pretty much bringing any further investigation to a screeching halt.  Sheriff tells DEA to **** off, we will no longer cooperate with you, period.

I like Kelly.  He's an old fashioned no-BS good guy.

Hate to be a nay sayer, but what did the Sheriff expect when he worked with the DEA in the first place?

Mal: You called the Feds.
Jayne: I got pinched!
Mal: Which is what happens when you call the Feds.

"Rev, your picture is in my King James Bible, where Paul talks about "inventors of evil."  Yes, I know you'll take that as a compliment."  - Fistful, possibly highest compliment I've ever received.

A lot of three letter orgs in .gov are misguided or over reaching in the methods they employ. But the DEA is pure unadulterated evil. If the Sheriff switches from "I don't co-operate with the DEA" to "I have ordered my men to shoot on sight arrest all DEA agents operating in my county" then I'll care.

Was he a turd before he went to the DEA?  Did he become a turd afterwards?  Or was being a turd a prerequisite for taking the job at the DEA?
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.
