Piers Morgan seeks axe control

He's been fired.

Retired.

Given the sack, as they say in Old Blighty.

Couldn't have 'appened to a nicer geezer.

To be more precise, his show is being cancelled. Allegedly, he may remain with CNN.

I guess when the New York Times gets on you about your anti-gun rants, it means you're really anti-gun.

Skimming through, it seems that Piers will be leaving the 9 o'clock slot but both he and CNN seem to think he can and ought to hang around for "special" stuff which they seem to believe will become even moar specialer because Piers old boy will be doing them.

It's bad when you pick up a turd, even by the shiney end.  It's worse when you are compelled to publically admit you intentionally picked up a turd, regardless of which end you grasped.  But to then try and sell the turd as something so wonderful that you realize you should only hold it on special occassions?  Seems to me CNN ought to be out selling used cars instead of the news if they want to go that route.

stay safe.

Well, if all the 24 hour news networks actually hired and fired based on ratings, there would be a great deal more turnover.

At least he's willing to admit it.

He basically had a very limited cultural viewpoint. Mr Morgan had a London/NYC viewpoint, and was incapable of understanding any situation not based on that viewpoint. Oddly enough, Americans didn't like being lectured by a gentleman as if he was King George III and we are unruly peasants in need of instructions from our better, more enlightened masters.

So Piers Morgan broke three ribs, crashing a Segway? And he said earlier that only idiots like GW Bush fall off Segways? Rich irony, but I can't find confirmation of the second part.

Bingo

I guess Mark Twain's adage didn't apply to him:

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness..." *

Being plunked down in the wilds of NYC or London is a little different from being plunked down in the wilds of Montana or the other Rocky Mountain areas.

Or, for that matter, certain areas of NYC itself  or London... or Camden NJ, or....

Good riddance, and it's too bad his Degree in Interviewing from the Rosie O'Donnell School of Aggressive and Impolite Interviewing is useless now.

Tough noogies, Mr. Morgan.

I'm hoping they go full 'tard and puts Cindy Sheehan in that slot.

And there I was, wondering if there could be anything less profitable than Piers.  Well, color me flabbergasted to find out there is.

If I were to buy a share of CNN stock, could I then sue them for fudiciary misconduct for trying to lose even more money?

How about just suing them for being universe-class stupid?

Did anyone else know that Jeremy Clarkson (of Top Gear UK) punched out Piers Morgan, leaving him with a scar above his left eyebrow?

I always knew I liked him, I just never knew exactly why until now.

Good.  Maybe she'll interview someone who can knock her phony statistics out of the park.
