All I understood from this thread is that Fitz passed his exam, and he's sending a video of himself taking a dump to adively.
Congrats man.
HAHAHAHAHHA
Dumps refer to braindumps. The other IT guys on this board can attest to this... but IT certification exams have basically two types of questions.
Real world applicable type questions that, if you know the product, you'll get the answer.
Dumb *expletive deleted* configuration maximum type *expletive deleted* that, if you work with the product, you'll google if you need the info.
Many tests are heavy on the second type. The reason I did so well on the CCNA was because of the heavy weight of the simulations, which you simply aren't gonna pass if you don't know how to use the equipment.
Anyway, braindumps are put together by folks who usually pay other folks to wear hidden cams into tests and grab real test questions.
It's totally against the rules.... but on the second kind of question, studying dumps can really help.
The VCP also had a manditory class which, through VMware and their partners, is insanely expensive. It's much LESS expensive if you can find a college to take it from. I took mine from UCSC. The coursework and labs were really thorough, and focused much less on memorization and much more on actual real world use in the tests and labs.
I'd like to see companies move toward ALL-sim exams. Put me in front of a vSphere client and tell me to do damn near anything, and I'm golden.
But no, i don't know off the top of my head the absolute maximum number of ports that can be put on a vSphere distributed switch.
