Another Failed Attempt at Selling "Smart Guns"
« on: May 03, 2014, 09:41:54 AM »
This time a guy in Maryland. He apologized, and said he "didn't know he'd be screwing people" (which is better than the CA guy, who simply pretended it never happened). Yet the customer statements say he is a big gun rights proponent. How can you be a big gun rights proponent, own a gun store, and not know anything about the contentiousness of "smart guns"?

I do not approve of any of the physical threats he got. More friggin idiots giving us all a bad name.

Meh. If he ever got any threats. Sounds like a fig leaf; the synthetic variety.

Cool-looking gun, though.

My 1874 Sharps has all the smart electronics any gun needs.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

The .22-caliber pistol, made by a German company, can only function with an accompanying wristwatch, which is sold separately.

Why does this strike me as being a lot like selling the steering wheel for an automobile as a separate option?

I think the idea is that you don't really want to have a separate bracelet for each gun, so a single key to unlock all your guns might be better. Maybe?

That was my thought as well.
