The governmental attention and/or investigation is the punishment.

While I doubt anyone expects anything of substance to come out of this investigation the gauntlet has been thrown down.

Obama has an enforcer, the federal bureaucracy. Opposing, mocking or satirizing this president will result in fed.gov getting actively involved in your life in a much more personal way.

Yeah, I'm guessing these folks are going to be in for audits and other government "inconveniences" for a good long while. I can't recall if the guys that burnt Bush in effigy were ever investigated by the DOJ of the time?

I guess Obama took those lessons from the madrassa of his youth about Mohammed having people who mocked him assassinated seriously.

There has been some black outrage over the violence in Chicago. Holder is helping them re-focus on The Real Enemy.

Yeah, but with this Caliph-in-Chief, he just wants to golf, so you can count on the mockers being assassinated in a non-serious manner.  =|
