In the 1975 movie adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Land That Time Forgot, the submarine, upon entering Caprona was attacked by a Plesiosaurus, which was machinegunned to death.  The people decided to cut it up, cook it and eat eat; the gag there was wondering whether you drank red wine or white wine with dinosaur?
