They are opening one of these 3 miles from me. I have never heard of such a thing. Should I be excited? The internets say that it is affiliated with Dick's, so I'm thinking it will probably be lame.

Anything with Field and Stream brand name seems to be extremely lame. Even the magazine has gone down hill over the last 20 years.

Well, judging from the size of the stores, they can't be offering very big fields or long streams.

We have one about 20 minutes from our house.  I will be going there soon to purchase some ammo (somebody at work gave me a gift card.) That is the only reason I am setting foot in there.

That's discouraging, since I stopped reading F&S about 40 years ago when I thought it had gone seriously downhill . . .

Theyre putting one in close to me, next to a new Dicks.. Drove by there the other day and someone had put up a spray painted sign board for... someone. It was an arrow pointing to the left, and read, " Field and Stream Dicks". It struck me as funny.
