I think Mr. RemBrandt Miller is not only a wuss, but also a liar.
First he says this was in his original letter:
This kind of reckless behavior can trigger PTSD episodes in veterans, and even naive ROTC cadets who don't have nightmares of their own yet, should be more sensitive to this reality.
No mention that
he suffered a PTSD episode, just a passing comment that it "can" trigger episodes in veterans. Indeed, he wrote that he recognized the "weapons" as rubber duckies, so he knew at the time that there was no reason to be alarmed.
But, after taking a bunch of (well-deserved) flack, he then came back with this:
I AM a combat veteran, and before you judgmental folks continue insulting me, take a moment and consider that seeing rifles pointed directly at me triggered a PTSD episode so intense I nearly had a seizure.
So which is it, Rembrandt? Did you recognize the weapons as fakes, or did you have a seizure? Or (third choice) are you such a wimp that a couple of rubber guns sends you over the edge?
