Various electronic toys a kid can put together. And apropos to our discussions about raising kids in a bubble. A soldering gun is within the realm of a 7 year olds skill set

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Any ideas if the smoke let off from the rosin when soldering has lotsa lead in it?  I am more worried about that than kiddo burning himself or chewing on the solder.

Rosin is plant-based.  You must be thinking of the old lead-core solder that hasn't been sold in decades.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

They keep making this eternal vigilance thing harder and harder.  Protecting the 2nd amendment is like playing PACMAN - there's no pause button so you can go to the bathroom.

I think you mean acid-core, not lead-core.  The biggest danger in using solder (besides catching the drapes on fire :D) is that a joint pops apart while the solder is molten and sprays hot solder droplets into one's eyeball.  This, when either soldering or unsoldering something.
WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.

Lead solder is still commonly available, and so is acid flux.
A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.
Is defenestration possible through the overton window?
