A hunting trip to the remote wilderness of Alaska went awry for a group of deer hunters after they were attacked by a group of brown bears

They are starting to fight smarter.  I am going to guess the 68 year old man was the slowest of the hunters.  

I am not sure a big bore six gun is the right gun to carry for a mass bear attack.  At least they weren't also armored.

If you happen to have one, maybe throwing a dead deer at them might help.

Not sure how MILES gear will help.

When I was beating around in AK's bush I carried my .444 Marlin for bear.  Course you'd need to reload for 5 of them.

Frankly, if I get jumped by 5 brown bears that don't turn around after I start shooting, I'm probably bear poop.

For a trip to that location I'd like to have my 870 Police magnum. 18 inch, parkerized with synthetic stock. Loaded with seven slugs. 

I'd still have to be very accurate to take on five bears though!
