« on: November 12, 2014, 09:37:22 AM »
Along with ESA's internet feed the NASA channel live coverage, commentary, and analysis. Channel 346 on DirecTV. Pretty cool stuff, this.

I for one welcome our new interplanetary overlords.

Wonder if NASA is paying the daily rate for parking or if they are using long-term.

And it's nice to see that the boys at JPL remembered not to intermingle meters and feet.

On a serious note, what's the radio signal time delay from here to there?

stay safe.

28 minutes from lander to mission control. Don't know how much of that is processing and relay delay through the orbiter.

So they have to be thinking 28 minutes ahead, plus any time for the action to do what it is supposed to.

And I have trouble some days keeping a steady 2 minutes behind.

stay safe.
